Dr. Matt Motteler
Matt Motteler was raised in Washington, NC and graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2002 with Bachelor’s Degrees in Chemistry and Biology.
In 2006, he graduated with honors from the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Optometry.
His clinical experience includes a six-month externship at Duke Eye Center in Durham and a one-year post-doctorate residency program at the W.G. Hefner Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Salisbury. These clinics focused on the diagnosis and treatment of eye diseases such as dry eye, glaucoma, and macular degeneration.
Dr. Motteler is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry. He is a member of the American Optometric Society, North Carolina State Optometric Society, Denver Area Business Association, Lincoln County Chamber of Commerce, and Denver/Lake Norman Rotary.
In his free time, Dr. Motteler enjoys mountain biking, hiking, sailing, and spending time with his family, wife Leslie and two sons, Tyler and Andrew. He also has a desire to participate in mission trips, which has allowed him to perform eye exams in Honduras, Nicaragua, and Mexico.
Dr. Motteler enjoys seeing returning patients year after year and is always accepting new patients in our Denver location.
